Use this knitting pattern to also hold a cell phone, iPod, or even pencils! Knit it on straight needles or in the round.
Materials:Worsted Weight cotton yarn Bernat Handicraft 50g/1¾ oz Size 5 US (3.75 mm) straight and/or double points Button, snap or velcro Instructions: CO 40 sts. Row 1: k Row 2: p Cont in St st until piece measures 8½" or desired length. BO 20 sts and cont in St st on rem 20 sts for 7 or 8 more rows. End with a p row completed. Next row: K1, K2tog, K to last 3sts, K2tog, K1 Next row: Purl Repeat last 2 rows until 4 sts rem. BO last 4. Sew up bottom seam. Sew side seam until where decreases began. Weave in ends. Add closure (snap, button, velcro). 
In The Round
CO 40 sts and divide over 3 needles.
Knit until body of case measures 8½".Switch to straight needles, BO 20 sts and knit in St st for next 7 or 8 rows, ending with a p row completed. Decrease as instructed in two needle pattern. See Abbreviations and the Glossary for help. |
